Chapter Five
The Spirit In The Spring
It took the twins a good twenty minutes, with Lenny running ahead, to hike to the creek. The air was fresh and crisp and smelled like wild clover and mint. Sunlight danced like tiny fairies on the small stream that flowed from the trickling spring above.

They sat on a big rock, their feet dusting the surface of the cold water.
​
"Isabella, are you there?" the twins shouted. "Willie, the Wizard in the Well, sent us."
​
For a few moments, there was only the sound of trickling water. Then, a faint humming sound filled the air. In the mist above the spring, a figure appeared. It was a young woman with eyes like dewdrops and blue hair that flowed like a stream.
​
"Isabella, is that you?" called Gabby.
​
"Bella, you can call me Bella," said Isabella.
